Directions & Ingredients
International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients (INCI):

Common Name Ingredient Listing (FDA Approved):

BATH & BODY PRODUCTS: 1-3% is considered the general "skin safe" ratio for lotions, creams, bath salts, fizzies, scrubs, body butter, salves, shampoo, conditioner, body spray, shower gel, etc.

COLD PROCESS (CP) SOAP: 0.7 - 1 oz per lb. Delicate florals should be batched at cool temps.

If a fragrance doesn't note it's compatible in HP, is it? Typically, if it's CP compatible, then yes, it's HP compatible. Usually, the exception is fragile florals (jasmine, gardenias, etc) and essential oils. Add fragrance oils last, after the cook phase or at trace and right before pouring into mold...this way there is less evaporation from the prolonged heat. However, you must stir this rather thick mixture very thoroughly.(For both Hot process in the oven, in a pot, or in a crockpot).

FIXING A SEIZE! Hot-Process is a great way to fix a CP seize in the pot.
Hot processing on the stove or in a double boiler setup to save a seized batch. You will typically need to add an extra ounce of water per lb of soap to make it easier to stir and to smooth into your mold, but this is an excellent way to fix a batch that has seized. You don't want to "cook" the bottom of your pot, so keep heat very low or use a double boiler to ensure your soap doesn't burn. Add your extra water and heat; it will go into the gel phase fairly quickly and only needs to "cook" a little longer to make pouring into the mold easier. It will not be liquid like CP soap, but it should be made fluid enough to smooth into a mold without lumps and air bubbles. Patience here is the key, as you will need to cure as long as with CP simply to allow the extra water to evaporate fully. You may choose to use less water to get a harder bar faster, BUT this will result in a thicker "glob" of soap that will be difficult to smooth into your mold, so the final texture of your soap may suffer.

MELT & POUR (MP) SOAP: 1 TBS per lb, up to .5 oz per lb or 1-3%

PARAFFIN WAX: 1 oz per lb. (Average usage of fragrance oil is approx. 6 - 7% per lb.)

SOY WAX: 1 oz per lb. unless otherwise noted

Note: The above are general guidelines. Individual testing and formulating is necessary

"Disappointed "
COMMENTS:  I thought this would be a great scent for a large order I received. Sadly, I can barely smell it even with using twice the recommended amount.

"my favorite"
COMMENTS:  I use this to make my husband's beard supplies, and I am totally in love with this scent. I have gotten in the habit of using it myself, especially at night when I go to bed. This scent is so comforting and relaxing.. I just take deep breaths and sleep!

COMMENTS:  I used this at 5% in cp soap and a 2 months later its completely gone, I noticed it fading with in a couple weeks but was hoping it would come back but no such luck...There is zero smell, nothing but the smell of the oils in the soap recipe. So disappointed. I was hoping for this one to be a big winner, as it turned out beautifully with pretty micas and gold swirl on top...but now its going in the 'can't sell' bin in my own bathroom. Bummer

• The fragrance oil smells great.
• Make it so the FO doesn't fade in soap

COMMENTS:  I got this as a sample and fell instantly in love. I dont know how it compares to the original but on its own its delightful. I am using it for a Fall lineup to try to get away from the typical apple and pumpkin that is so played out. This has beautiful rich undertones but remains light and not heavy or cologne like. I would say it is unisex, clean and very rich and deep. Very upscale

COMMENTS:  WOW! Just WOW!!! I LOVE Jo Malone fragrances, as I've found many to be delightfully unisex, and uniquely multifaceted! To me, this is a SPOT ON duplication! If you've never smelled the original, there are certain FO's I would compare this to, only this one's BETTER! For example, I've always wondered if BB's "Birchwood Oud" and WSP's "Black Salt & Cypress" FO's were based off Jo Malone's "Wood Sage & Sea Salt", so if you've ever smelled & enjoyed either of those FO's before, you will fall in love with this scent!! It's BB's "Birchwood Oud" without the out-of-place musk note, and WSP's "Black Salt & Cypress", only more refined and dimensional. Think upscale cologne, WITHOUT being "cologney", blended so beautifully, women would enjoy it just as much... THAT'S this FO! Soaps beautifully in CP with no ricing, acceleration or discoloration, and in application, you get the full scope of this magnificent scent: Salty sea air & sun-warmed woods! Its OUTSTANDING, and if you're familiar with the fragrance this FO duplicates, you won't be able to tell a difference... This captures it precisely! DON'T PASS THIS ONE UP!!
