Directions:
This can be used as-is as a massage gel. Or, for a scrub, simply add your choice of exfoliant directly to base and hand mix. For traditional salt and sugar scrubs, use approximately 50% Suspension Oil and 50% solids. Adjust as desired for satisfactory level of abrasiveness.
If adding preservative, test thoroughly to ensure viscosity does not change. Our Fragrances or Essential Oils can be added at a ratio of up to 3%. If adding a carrier oil, we recommend no more than 2% to minimize separation as the silica may not be able to thicken all the oils. What will end up happening is when the solids are added there will be more separation of solids and oils, so you will end up with a thicker layer of oil on the top and some settling of solids. Each gallon of Suspension Oil Base should render two gallons or more of finished product.
