Melt and Pour Soap Base: Goat's Milk

International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients (INCI):
Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Elaeis Guineensis (Sustainable Palm) Oil, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Glycerin (kosher, of vegetable origin), Goat's Milk (liquid), Purified Water, Sodium Hydroxide (saponifying agent), Sorbitol (moisturizer), Propylene Glycol (from vegetable glycerin), Sorbitan oleate (emulsifier), Oat protein (conditioner), Titanium Dioxide (mineral whitener used in opaque soaps)

Our hydrolized oat protein is not passed through bakeries, mills, etc. so it’s free of gluten containing contaminants to the best of our knowledge.

Directions:
MELT: Determine amount of melt and pour soap base needed for your project. Carefully slice soap base into small pieces and place in microwave safe container. Heat on low at 30 second intervals. Stir between intervals until liquid. Handle hot soap carefully as it may burn the skin. Soap can also be melted in a double boiler. NOTE: When melting large quantities of this soap base, you may need to increase your heating temperature to 170 degrees while stirring all the way through.

MOLD: Stir in cosmetic color, cosmetic scent, and skin safe additives. Pour into a mold. Spritz soap surface with rubbing alcohol to remove bubbles. Allow to cool until hard.

ENJOY: Remove from mold and wrap with airtight plastic wrap. Your newly created melt and pour soap is now ready to use!

Staff Answer You will need to test this, but the general rule is less than 5% of total weight for additives.
