Additional Information
Sangre De Grado, meaning "blood of the dragon", is a tree that grows in the Amazon Rainforest. When the trunk of the tree is cut or wounded, a dark red, sappy resin oozes out as if the tree is bleeding. Often used in rituals for energy, power and strength, this highly complex oil has hints of frankincense and red sandalwood.

Directions & Ingredients
International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients (INCI):

Common Name Ingredient Listing (FDA Approved):

BATH & BODY PRODUCTS: 1-3% is considered the general "skin safe" ratio for lotions, creams, bath salts, fizzies, scrubs, body butter, salves, shampoo, conditioner, body spray, shower gel, etc.

COLD PROCESS (CP) SOAP: 0.7 - 1 oz per lb. Delicate florals should be batched at cool temps.

If a fragrance doesn't note it's compatible in HP, is it? Typically, if it's CP compatible, then yes, it's HP compatible. Usually, the exception is fragile florals (jasmine, gardenias, etc) and essential oils. Add fragrance oils last, after the cook phase or at trace and right before pouring into mold...this way there is less evaporation from the prolonged heat. However, you must stir this rather thick mixture very thoroughly.(For both Hot process in the oven, in a pot, or in a crockpot).

FIXING A SEIZE! Hot-Process is a great way to fix a CP seize in the pot.
Hot processing on the stove or in a double boiler setup to save a seized batch. You will typically need to add an extra ounce of water per lb of soap to make it easier to stir and to smooth into your mold, but this is an excellent way to fix a batch that has seized. You don't want to "cook" the bottom of your pot, so keep heat very low or use a double boiler to ensure your soap doesn't burn. Add your extra water and heat; it will go into the gel phase fairly quickly and only needs to "cook" a little longer to make pouring into the mold easier. It will not be liquid like CP soap, but it should be made fluid enough to smooth into a mold without lumps and air bubbles. Patience here is the key, as you will need to cure as long as with CP simply to allow the extra water to evaporate fully. You may choose to use less water to get a harder bar faster, BUT this will result in a thicker "glob" of soap that will be difficult to smooth into your mold, so the final texture of your soap may suffer.

MELT & POUR (MP) SOAP: 1 TBS per lb, up to .5 oz per lb or 1-3%

PARAFFIN WAX: 1 oz per lb. (Average usage of fragrance oil is approx. 6 - 7% per lb.)

SOY WAX: 1 oz per lb. unless otherwise noted

Note: The above are general guidelines. Individual testing and formulating is necessary

COMMENTS:  This fragrance was an amazing treat both out the bottle and in cold process soap. My man loves it! All the women in my family love it! The discoloration isn't noticeable with dark colors and I did my design with the expected discoloration in mind so was not an issue for me. Will be one of my staples.

COMMENTS:  Best Dragon's Blood you can find! I've used many, but this one is the best! It darkens with time, of course, but it doesn't have that nasty, powdery scent that so many of them do. It is rich and deep and dreamy! Soaps beautifully as long as you plan for the dark color.

COMMENTS:  This is THE BEST Dragon's blood around. I use it DAILY. If used correctly for personal use a 1 oz container will last a VERY LONG TIME. The oil is potent enough to just apply half a dab to each side of your neck to smell fantastic all day long. It also works really well in a solid perfume base. I prefer the straight oil but to each their own. :)

COMMENTS:  Every previous review that said this was THE BEST Dragon's Blood WASN'T KIDDING!!! If you've ever worked with actual Dragon's Blood resin, you probably know that the resin doesn't smell much like any Dragon's Blood FO you've ever smelled... FO's seem more like "romanticized" versions of the resin, either carrying a powdery or heavier sweet note that just isn't present in the resin. I've always enjoyed adding resin-infusions to Dragon's Blood FO's to help give them a little boost of that authentic, Dragon's Blood aroma. When I smelled this FO, the first words out of my mouth were, "OMG! This smells like it's had Dragon's Blood resin infused into it!". This FO saved me 6hrs of grinding resin & infusing it (to make it smell more authentic), because scent-wise, it just doesn't need it! It carries the most authentic Dragon's Blood resin note I have EVER smelled in a FO! I'm just unmolding the batch now (CP), but it still smells INCREDIBLE & performed beautifully! I imagine it will discolor darker, but that's expected. KUDOS Elements! This Dragon's Blood FO is OUTSTANDING and truly is like no other I've smelled to date!

COMMENTS:  Everyone that smells this loves it. No problem to soap, can't say if it discolored because I did a maroon and black swirl, but gave me no problems!
