Our unscented Color Protection Shampoo base offers salon quality results with the latest in micro emulsion technology! Featuring Botanical ME-10 and an array of other high-end conditioning agents for hair color retention, easier combing, more vibrant shine, reduced drying time, antistatic and control of fly-aways, detangling and style manageability without greasy build-up.

Traditional shampoos can fade color treated hair or damage delicate hair fibers, but you don't have to sacrifice quality tresses with this daily use shampoo! Use unscented (as-is) or add your own Fragrance or Essential Oils at a ratio up to 1%. No solubilizer is necessary.

This is a cold mix formula, so no heating is required. It is super easy to create your own shampoo. Just add your scent directly to the base and hand or machine mix. Hand stirring at room temperature with a spatula is recommended.

Ingredient Benefits:

Polyquaternium 7,70 & 80: Polyquats are "green" and derived from renewable resources. They are hygroscopic at all humidities, attracting and binding water effectively and providing a higher humidity protective gradient to enhance moisturization on both skin and hair, serving to retain moisture. Their performance benefits are due to both strong ionic binding and hydrogen bonding within the humectant film matrix. In addition to increasing softness and elasticity of skin and hair they inhibit buildup of static electricity. They dry to form a micro thin coating that is absorbed onto the hair shaft providing excellent detangling and shine to dry hair.
Cocamidopropyl Betaine & Sodium Cocyl Isethionate: Both are mild foaming and cleansing agents derived from vegetable oils such as Coconut and Palm Kernel. Their mild non-irritating properties work well in a variety of cleansing applications, including hair and facial care.
Sodium Methyl Cocoyl Taurate: Mild, anionic, vegetable oil (coconut oil) based cleansing agent. It has excellent foaming properties and is used to create gentle, non-striping surfactant systems with dense creamy leather.
Glycol Distearate: Paraben Free preservative that provides a glossy pearl tone.

Directions:
Use unscented (as-is) or add your own Fragrance or Essential Oils at a ratio up to 1%. No solubilizer is necessary. Customize by adding 1% of nourishing oils like Grapeseed, Avocado, Argan or botanical extracts. During cooler weather, this base can be very thick and 10 - 20% water can be added to reduce viscosity. Keep in mind that if you alter the base, it may thin and become more runny during warmer weather. It is important to preserve the water first, then add it to the shampoo. Although water-based colorants will work in this base, we do not recommend adding them as it could result in change of hair color.

"The BEST shampoo base!"

COMMENTS: This is the best shampoo base I have tried and I've tried A LOT! It leaves your hair feeling clean but not stripped or heavy. My hair retains the color as it should. It holds scent nicely too. For all the money I've wasted on other shampoo bases I'd give this one 50 stars if I could!
