Deodorized cocoa butter is thought to reduce dryness of the skin and improve elasticity, it is a relatively hard butter that can be used directly on the skin or incorporated in body care products.
Derived from cocoa beans. Prime pressed, deodorized. Mechanically pressed from properly roasted, winnowed and milled blended chocolate nibs. Subsequent to pressing the butter is centrifuged to remove any remaining solids. The cocoa butter is deodorized by use of superheated steam vacuum to reduce, but not to completely remove flavor. COMMENTS: This is a lovely butter that sinks right in once it hits the skin, leaving it moisturized with no greasy feel. The 1 lb size is packaged in a jar. It's hard, so the "Melt Chocolate" setting on my microwave is perfect to melt it without over heating. I then pour it into 1 oz and 1/2 oz individual circle molds, then bag it in a ZipLoc, write the contents, supplier, and date on it and store them in the freezer until needed.
