Lip Flavor Oils
Fragrance oils are filled by weight, not volume, so fill levels will vary.
Flavor oils are an aromatic addition to oil soluble products such as lip balms, lipsticks and lip gloss. Despite their name, flavor oils do not offer any real flavor. They are actually highly concentrated food grade fragrance oils. The addition of a sweetener can greatly enhance the "flavor", though. Recommended usage rate is 1-3%. Your recipe can be multiplied by .01 -.03 to determine the amount of the flavor oil you should add. For instance, if you had 16 oz of lip balm base & wanted to use 2% flavor oil, you would multiply 16 x .02 = .32. You would add .32 oz of flavor oil to your base. Test with the smallest amount of flavor oil and then increase if desired.
